About the Event
An invitation from Windom resident, Patrick Barrett.
Dear Windom Neighbor,
I’m sure you’re as alarmed as me seeing the growing crime trend in our neighborhood with stolen cars and assaults in Windom.
Fox 9 News reported that just one week in March there were 233 car thefts in Minneapolis: 70% of these were either Hyundai or Kia models.
According to the 5th Precinct report, 15 crimes were reported in our neighborhood of Windom alone.
I urge you to join us on Saturday, April 22, 2023 1:30 2:30 PM for an important meeting to take action to stem this terrible tide of crime.
In attendance will be Jennifer Waisanen, MPD 5th Precinct Crime Prevention Specialist, and Aileen Johnson of the Minneapolis Safety Walk Group.

WCC plans to partner with Aileen and a group of neighborhood associations already walking their communities.
Bring your ideas on how Windom residents can identify and prevent more victimizing.
You can call in via Zoom or meet in person at the gym of the Windom Community School at 5839 Wentworth Avenue South.
